In May, a theft took place at a toy store in one of the shopping centres in Lubin. Taking advantage of the store employees’ inattention, the perpetrator removed the security devices from four doll packages, then put them in a bag and left the store. (The losses were estimated at more than PLN 900).

The store employees notified the police and secured surveillance footage. What is more, they spotted the stolen dolls on the website of one of the pawnshops. (As it turned out, they were right—the goods from the pawnshop were returned to the store).

The suspect in the theft was wanted by the Lubin police. He was arrested in Wrocław on 24 August. He was caught after damaging a headphone package.

The 22-year-old was handed over to the Lubin police. He has already been charged and confessed.

The man from Legnica will now answer for his actions before the court. He could face up to five years in prison.
