Legnica police officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, are investigating the circumstances and causes of an accident that occurred on August 21 on National Road No. 94, before the town of Lipce. The motorcycle rider died at the scene.

Let us remember that people riding motorcycles, mopeds, scooters or bicycles most often suffer serious injuries in a road incident, and in the worst case, die at the scene. Therefore, we must remember the obligation to wear a protective helmet and appropriate clothing while riding.
Concerned about motorcyclists, cyclists and moped riders who are less visible on the roads, we appeal to car drivers to check their mirrors more often. Due to their size, two-wheeled vehicle users often move more efficiently and dynamically, and consequently become less visible to other road users.
It is also common to begin an overtaking maneuver without checking the mirror. Car drivers do not realize how a seemingly simple action takes on enormous significance in this case, because one glance in the mirror can save someone’s life or health.

We appeal to all drivers to exercise caution and obey the regulations. Every road user must consider their own safety and that of others.
