The incident occurred on Wednesday, 8 August, behind Rzemieślnicza Street. Workers at one of the construction sites found unexploded ordnance. (It is not yet known exactly how many shells are there.)
The evacuation of local residents was not necessary. The site is being secured by officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
The unexploded ordnance will be handled by sappers from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment.
