Officers from the Patrol and Intervention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters noticed a man at Wyszyński Square in Legnica a few minutes after midnight. He was sitting in a Renault and began behaving nervously when he saw the police. The officers decided to check his identity.
During the 26-year-old’s document check, the officers detected the distinctive smell of marijuana. They asked the Legnica resident to get out of the vehicle.
As the man stood up, an officer noticed marijuana lying on the seat. Suspecting that there might be more drugs in the vehicle, the officers thoroughly searched the Renault. The result? Under the seat, they found a bag containing methamphetamine (known as “piko”).
The 26-year-old was arrested and taken to police custody. He could now face up to three years in prison.
