The incident occurred on Sunday, July 29, on Zgorzelecka Street. The driver of a Kia, a 59-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, overtook improperly and hit a 71-year-old cyclist. The man sustained serious injuries. (The incident was classified as an accident.)
Both drivers were sober. The case will probably end up in court. The police appeal for caution and prudence on the road.
