TWO COLLISIONS occurred on Sunday, 29 July, at the 60th kilometre of the A4 heading towards Zgorzelec, between Szczytnica and Krzywa. Before 8:00 p.m., the Škoda driver, a resident of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, failed to maintain a safe distance and rear-ended a Renault driven by a 33-year-old man from Bolesławiec County. As a result of the impact, the Renault crashed into a Volkswagen driven by a 37-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County.

A moment later, another collision occurred. This time, a 54-year-old man from Lwówek County failed to maintain a safe distance. Driving a BMW, he rear-ended a Citroën driven by a 34-year-old man from Tomaszów Mazowiecki. The latter vehicle rolled into a ditch, while the BMW crashed into... the Škoda driven by the resident of Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

Two people were taken to hospital: the BMW driver and a passenger in the Škoda. Fortunately, they did not suffer anything serious.

The perpetrators of both collisions—the BMW and Škoda drivers—had their registration certificates confiscated and were fined PLN 300.
