We were informed about the matter by a Reader. In an email to the editorial office, they wrote: “Monument being dismantled today?”
And indeed, as we managed to establish, the monument at the Square of the 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence, located on Bankowa Street in Bolesławiec, will first be taken to a stonemason, who will clean the monument. The work will then be rebuilt—with an eagle wearing a crown atop it.
The unveiling of the new version of the monument will probably take place before 11 November. We will certainly return to the subject.
