The incident occurred on Saturday, July 21, after 7:00 p.m., on Ptasia Street in Bolesławiec. During a police chase, one of the suspects hit an officer. An ambulance was called to the scene.

As we learned, the duty officer first received information that a man who might be under the influence of alcohol was driving toward Bolesławiec. A police patrol was immediately sent out. When the officers spotted the car, they signaled the driver to stop. The driver began to flee. The officers pursued him. They caught up with him in the Kwiatowe housing estate in Bolesławiec. The officer then smashed the window to reach the driver. The driver suddenly accelerated, hit the officer, carried him several meters on the hood, and fled again. The police officer’s injuries were not serious enough to prevent him from pursuing the driver again with his colleague. They caught up with him on Ptasia Street.

It turned out that the driver was a 40-year-old resident of Dobra. He was drunk and had a blood alcohol level of 1 per mille.

The police officer was taken to hospital. He has already undergone examinations.
