During the technical acceptance of the renovated Mostowa Street, city and county officials were present, as this is their joint—third—investment. Previously, Gmina Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County jointly renovated Dolne Młyny and Staszica streets. Approximately PLN 600,000 was allocated from the budgets for these three investments.

During the works, minor matters were discussed with residents of Mostowa Street—things that should be improved or remembered during the renovation. Starosta Karol Stasik assures that all agreed details will be taken into account. He also emphasised that the renovation of Mostowa Street was important because it is an alternative route for possible detours around the bridge and Zgorzelecka Street (national road 94).

The asphalt pavements are worth noting; they will be easier to maintain and will not become overgrown with grass. Parents taking small children in prams and roller skaters will certainly appreciate them.

Residents pointed out that the new, straight road might encourage irresponsible drivers to drive too fast. Speed bumps were not planned for the road, but signs limiting the speed to 40 km/h will be installed.

The next stage will be the renovation of the bridge on Mostowa Street and the section from the bridge to Dolne Młyny Street. We have to wait until next year for these investments.

The renovation was carried out two months ahead of schedule by BRUK-BUD from Lwówek Śląski.
