Gracjan Kozak, an athlete with MKS Bolesłavia and a trainee of coach Tomasz Markowski, will compete on Friday, July 6 in the European Championships final—in the discus throw competition.

The competition is taking place in Hungary, and it will be broadcast on Eurosport 1. The athlete from Bolesławiec will compete today at 6:20 p.m..

We encourage everyone to watch the broadcast and cheer on our athlete! Good luck!!! We’re keeping our fingers crossed!

Let us recall. At the end of June, we reported that MKS Bolesłavia athlete Gracjan Kozak would represent Poland in the discus throw at the European Championships for U18 athletes, taking place from July 5 to 8 in the Hungarian city of Győr.

The Bolesłavia athlete’s most important achievements:

  • as a youth athlete, he became Poland’s runner-up, breaking the Lower Silesian record (1 kg discus—61.67 m)
  • this year’s results: shot put (5 kg)—18.73 m; discus throw (1.5 kg)—58.16 m
  • at the June LZS Polish Championships, he became the national champion in the discus throw and runner-up in the shot put. (He is also the Lower Silesian champion in these events.)

Gracjan trains in the throwing group led by teacher and coach Tomasz Markowski. Competing in the European Championships is a major distinction for our athlete. His predecessors from the throwing group won many Polish Championship medals. They also competed in international events: Roksana Drab at the World Gymnasiade in France in the javelin throw; Agnieszka Dalmata in the discus throw; Dawid Kopała in the hammer throw at international matches; Kacper Olszewski in the European Qualifiers for the Olympic Games, where he finished fifth.
