The incident occurred on June 21, before 10:00 a.m., on national road No. 36 (Lubin–Ścinawa). Initial findings by investigators indicate that, for undetermined reasons, the driver of a Ford collided with an oncoming VW Golf passenger car.
The 25-year-old woman was seriously injured; an air ambulance helicopter transported her to a hospital in Legnica. The 49-year-old man was taken to a medical facility in Lubin.
