Two crimes took place in May and June in Bolesławiec. The victim reported break-ins at containers and the theft of newspapers to the Bolesławiec police. He estimated the losses at approximately PLN 500.
The officers took steps to establish the burglar’s identity. The entire incident was recorded by cameras. The officers quickly determined who the perpetrator was. The 22-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was already known to them, as he had other offenses and crimes on his record.
The 22-year-old was arrested. He was charged and admitted his guilt. He explained that he had sold the loot as scrap paper.
The man could now face up to 10 years in prison.
