A dramatic incident occurred in the area of the Fabryczna district in Legnica. The municipal police headquarters duty officer received a report about a man hanging outside a building, at the height of the fourth floor of one of the apartment blocks.
The police officers arrived at the scene immediately. They noticed a person holding on with one hand to the cornice beneath the staircase window. It was clear that the man was growing weak and would not be able to hold on like that for long.
The police officers immediately ran into the stairwell and began talking to the shaken Legnica resident, using the time to get as close to him as possible. At the last moment, the community police officers grabbed the man by the arms and pulled him inside the building.
As it turned out moments later, the desperate man was intoxicated; he had nearly 2‰ of alcohol in his system. The ambulance crew that arrived at the scene decided that he should be hospitalized.
Thanks to the quick and decisive actions of the Legnica police officers, the man’s life is no longer in danger.
