Effective action by police officers from the criminal division of the Zgorzelec police station prevented the defrauding of one of the banks in the county out of a PLN 15,000 loan.
The 35-year-old man, who used a forged document intended to prove his creditworthiness, was detained when he came to the bank to collect the loan.
As it turned out, the 35-year-old was unemployed. The suspect was charged with attempted fraud. He could now face up to 8 years in prison.
