On June 2, Lubin police officers were informed that alcohol had been stolen from one of the shops in the city. The perpetrator fled.

A patrol from the prevention and traffic divisions went to the scene. The officers quickly spotted a man matching the perpetrator’s description.

When he saw the police, the 26-year-old hid in bushes by the road. He was detained, and all the goods he had stolen were returned to the owner. They included alcohol, groceries and a shopping basket, with a total value of PLN 650.

During their investigation, the officers established that the detained man had shortly before committed robbery theft at another shop. He had also stolen alcohol, worth more than PLN 200, which was recovered by a security guard.

The suspect was taken into police custody. He now faces up to 12 years in prison.
