Police officers from the district police headquarters in Bolesławiec detained a 24-year-old man suspected of drug-related offences. The detention took place after the 24-year-old, seeing an approaching police car, tried to hide behind an open garage door. During a check carried out by the officers, it turned out that he was carrying a marijuana joint.

Suspecting that the man might have more narcotics on him, the officers checked his backpack. Their suspicions were confirmed.

What is more, they also searched the garage used by the suspect. There they found a travel bag containing drugs.

In total, the officers seized nearly 5 kg of drugs—marijuana and hashish—as well as a game console, a snowboard, keys and a remote-controlled airplane model. The suspect was unable to give a logical explanation for the origin of these items. (The officers are currently determining where the seized property came from).

The 24-year-old has already been charged with possessing significant quantities of narcotics. He has been remanded in custody for three months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
