Tesco has decided to close 3 more supermarkets. The reason? They are making losses. Outlets in Wrocław (Paprotna), Kalisz (Wojska Polskiego Street) and Warsaw (Toruńska) will be closed, reports money.pl. After the closure of these 3 outlets, the chain will have 398 stores.
The list of stores scheduled for closure does not include the Tesco store in Bolesławiec, so for now customers of this store from our city can rest easy.
Earlier, 4 supermarkets were closed in 2015, another 7 in 2016, while in 2017 the British chain lost 9 outlets in Poland. At the beginning of 2018, 18 stores were selected for closure. You can find the detailed list at businessinsider.com.pl.
