The commission that visited the hospital from 7 to 9 March 2018 prepared a report based on observations, document reviews and interviews conducted during the visit. Patients were also asked for their opinions about the care. Everything was appropriately scored.
The Centre for Quality Monitoring in Kraków developed 230 standards used to assess the work of hospitals. Fifteen areas were identified, including:
- patient rights
- patient care
- pharmacotherapy
- nutrition
- diagnostic imaging
- procedures and anaesthesia
- infection control.
Everyone agrees that obtaining accreditation was possible only thanks to the commitment of the entire hospital staff.
Scoring at least 75 out of a possible 100 points guarantees accreditation. This, in turn, makes it possible to apply for larger contracts with the National Health Fund for the provision of medical services. The Fund appreciates the efforts of hospitals that continuously improve the standard of their services.
