The foreigners (a Croatian and a Slovenian) who were detained on Sunday, 20 May, near the Czarny Kot pub have already been charged. The 24-year-old, who will be held responsible for driving under the influence, could face up to two years in prison. (Interestingly, the driver was more intoxicated, with 2‰ of alcohol in his system; the passenger had “only” 1.6‰.)
The second foreigner, who grappled with a police officer while trying to prevent his colleague’s arrest, could spend as many as five years behind bars.
Both suspects are employees of a foreign company. They were in our city on a business trip. We wrote about the details of the arrest in the article Chase of a drunk Slovenian through the streets of Bolesławiec. Two foreigners detained.
