The incident occurred on Saturday, May 19, in Godzieszów (Nowogrodziec gmina). After 10 p.m., the driver of a passenger car lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, rammed the fence of a roadside property and landed in the garden, cutting down a dozen or so trees in the process.
It turned out that the car was being driven by a 22-year-old from Warta Bolesławiecka gmina, who was drunk. At the time of his arrest, he had nearly 2 parts per thousand of alcohol in his system.
The young man could now face up to 2 years in prison. (The case was first reported by The Bad Bunzlauer.)
