It looks as though, before long, we will also be able to collect parcels from automated machines at the popular Portuguese discount store. As reported by rp.pl:

Biedronka and Swipbox will build a network of 300 parcel machines in the first stage of the project. Ultimately, there could be as many as 2,000. InPost, which until now has been a quasi-monopoly in this segment (it has more than 2,900 machines), is keeping silent. “We do not comment on competitors’ investment plans. If such a network is established, we will analyse any potential threats. With emphasis on ‘if’, because there have been many similar announcements,” says Wojciech Kądziołka, InPost’s spokesperson.

The first parcel machines are expected to appear in Silesia, Warsaw and Kraków, followed by Łódź, Poznań and Wrocław. Details are available on the “Rzeczpospolita”.
