The idea of making Whit Sunday a day off work is being promoted by the Eschaton Scientific Foundation of Catholics. Foundation representatives argue that Whit Sunday was a day off from 1925 onward, and that it was only changed by the communists. A letter on the matter has already been sent to the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
Deputy Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Stanisław Szwed dispelled all doubts in an interview with the money.pl portal. Whit Sunday will not be a day off work.
At present, the ministry has no such plans and is not working on any such proposal. Details at money.pl. What do you think?
