Rainfall and strong winds contributed to 3 road collisions on national road A4, approximately 10 trees falling onto roads, as well as numerous instances of flooding and waterlogging in public-use, commercial, residential and farm buildings. Water flowing in on Wesoła Street in Bolesławiec also flooded the garages and basement rooms of the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service. Rescue operations carried out jointly by PSP and OSP units mainly involved pumping out water, removing trees from roads and protecting property from flooding.
State Fire Service crews from Bolesławiec, Zgorzelec and Legnica, as well as Volunteer Fire Service units from Bolesławiec, Legnica, Lwówek, Złotoryja and Zgorzelec counties, were dispatched to respond. More than 40 vehicles and approximately 170 firefighters were involved in the operations.
Moreover, while the effects of the storms were being dealt with, another call was received by the SK PSP in Bolesławiec at 5:06 p.m.—this time concerning a fire in a farm building in Brzeźnik.
