On April 16, Bolesławiec police officers received information about a break-in at a photography studio in Bolesławiec. The perpetrator stole... a sofa used as a prop for photos. (The owner estimated the loss at PLN 3,000.)
Police officers identified the perpetrator. On April 19, they arrested the 25-year-old suspect. The man admitted his guilt and gave a statement.
It turned out that the thief took the sofa because he thought it was an antique piece of furniture and that he could make a good profit from it.
The officers recovered the stolen property; it will be handed over to the owner. The clueless 25-year-old could face up to 10 years in prison.
