The crime was committed on the night of 16 April at a petrol station in Zgorzelec County. The perpetrator, who was unknown at the time, broke into a truck’s fuel tank and stole 300 litres of diesel.
Based on the information gathered, police identified and detained a 45-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County. In his car, they found two 200-litre barrels and an oil pump.
The man has already been charged. He could now face up to eight years in prison.
