A 42-year-old man who specialized in thefts has been arrested by officers from the Property Crime Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. The man stole, among other things, bicycles, clothing and LED lamps.
Thanks to the excellent investigative work of operational officers, the location where the suspect—well known to the Legnica police—was staying was established.
The 42-year-old was arrested, and some of the property he had stolen was recovered. (The items will soon be returned to their owners.)
It turned out that at the beginning of April, the man committed a series of property crimes. He especially targeted multi-story buildings in one of the housing estates. He broke into attics and utility rooms. (The total losses caused by his criminal activity were estimated at more than PLN 4,000.)
The 42-year-old was placed under police supervision. As the man is a repeat offender, he could now face up to 15 years behind bars.
