Officers from the Patrol and Intervention Unit noticed a vehicle on one of the streets in Polkowice whose driver had not turned on his dipped headlights, even though it was approaching 8 p.m. The police stopped him for a check.

The Ukrainian citizen was not carrying any documents. What is more, the officers detected a distinct smell of alcohol coming from him.

It turned out that the man, who currently lives in Lubin County, was drunk; he had almost 2 promille of alcohol in his system.

The Ukrainian man will now answer for his actions before the court. He could face up to two years in prison.
