Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received a report of a robbery from a 30-year-old resident of Greater Poland Voivodeship. The man claimed that he was the victim of a crime that had occurred several hours earlier in Bolesławiec County. He maintained that, while driving abroad, he had stopped at a parking lot in our county. There, he was allegedly attacked and robbed.

Based on the information gathered, the officers determined that the version of events presented by the alleged victim did not add up.

What is more, the police found drugs on the 30-year-old, giving them grounds to suspect that the 30-year-old from Greater Poland may have been driving a delivery van under the influence of intoxicating substances.

As it turned out, no robbery had taken place. The 30-year-old “victim” now faces up to 8 years in prison.
