Since January, work has been underway in Bolesławiec to arrange and develop the area along the Bóbr River for sports and recreational purposes. The development has been divided into several stages. This year, a pump track, skatepark and climbing wall will be built.

The pump track being built in Bolesławiec is a highly varied, large FLOW TRACK-style course combining racing sections, flow sections for performing jumps, and an easy section for beginners and intermediate riders. The youngest users have not been forgotten either—two facilities are being built for toddlers riding balance bikes.

This year's project also includes hardening the roads around the structures under construction, ramps, the reconstruction of stairs and the installation of small-architecture elements. The contractor is PARK-M POLAND, based in Stary Sącz. The cost of the work is PLN 5,755,567. The funds come from the city budget.

It is also worth noting that the technology used for the project takes into account the site's location in an area adjacent to a potential flood-risk zone. Although the project itself is not being built in a floodplain, the structures and their foundations have been appropriately designed to protect them against additional exceptional loads acting on construction structures in connection with the occurrence of flood risk and flooding.

The next stage of developing the area along the Bóbr River includes plans to build a sensory park, volleyball courts, a changing-room building, playgrounds, an event zone, a barbecue area, a kayak landing stage, a beach and parking spaces.
