Officers from the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra identified and then arrested a 23-year-old man suspected of theft. At the end of February, the 23-year-old stole 100 kilograms of copper, a chainsaw and cash from a non-ferrous metal collection point. The owner estimated the value of the stolen property at at least several thousand zlotys.
The 23-year-old was arrested. A moment later, it turned out that he had sold the stolen copper at another non-ferrous metal collection point.
The man could now face up to five years behind bars.
