Police officers from Bolesławiec have been verifying and monitoring locations indicated by residents in the National Map of Security Threats app since October 2016. Thanks to the app, every user can provide the police with information about places where a potential threat occurs. The most frequently reported problems in Bolesławiec County are:
- improper parking
- exceeding the speed limit
- inadequate road infrastructure
- illegal waste dumps.
All points placed on the threat map are verified. Each one is systematically monitored by police patrols, and offenders are fined. According to the officers, their actions are producing results, and fewer and fewer people are committing offenses in places marked on the threat map.
Police officers remind residents that a potentially dangerous location can also be added to the threat map via the link – National Map of Security Threats – located on the website of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
However, it should be remembered that this app is not intended for reporting situations requiring urgent police intervention. In such cases, use the emergency numbers: 997 or 112.
