Criminal investigators from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 27-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man. Both are suspected of robbery.
The incident occurred on 13 March, at around 9 p.m., on the outskirts of Jelenia Góra. The pair surprised a man walking down the street, beat him and robbed him. The attackers took his mobile phone and money. (The robbers threw away the phone almost immediately).
The man notified the police about the attack the following day. The pair were detained several hours after the report was made, and both were placed in police custody.
They could now face up to 12 years in prison. The suspects are also subject to police supervision and a ban on leaving the country.
