Police officers from the Legnica traffic unit noticed an Audi on provincial road 328 whose driver began making improper maneuvers upon seeing the police car. The officers decided to check the driver. It turned out that the 38-year-old resident of Środa County was drunk; he had more than one per mille of alcohol in his breath.
What is more, it came to light that the car he was traveling in had been stolen in Germany several hours earlier. (The value of the vehicle recovered by the officers was more than PLN 27,000).
The 38-year-old was arrested. He will face charges of burglary and drunk driving. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
The Audi will be returned to its owner.
