A young man with his face covered entered one of the establishments in Polkowice. Using an object resembling a weapon, he terrorized a sales assistant and demanded money from her. Both the woman and the other employees of the establishment kept their cool. They did not comply with the perpetrator’s demands and began talking to him. Surprised by the staff’s decisive response, the man fled.
Police officers who arrived at the scene noticed the perpetrator running out of the establishment. The officers ordered the fleeing man to stop. The 34-year-old man from Lubin ignored them.
The officers began a pursuit. A moment later, they subdued and arrested the 34-year-old. It emerged that the man was wanted.
At the investigators’ request, the Lubin court remanded the suspect in temporary custody for three months. The 34-year-old could now face up to 12 years in prison.
