– In Bolesławiec, we recorded 52 shoplifting incidents in January and the first two decades of February 2017, while in the corresponding period of 2018 there were 57 shoplifting incidents – asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, spokesperson for the Bolesławiec police, told the istotne.pl service.
Thieves steal various items – from petroleum jelly costing just under three zlotys to chocolates, nappies, cosmetics, building blocks, laundry capsules, glue and wall plugs, ending with clothing. Surprisingly, alcohol thefts are relatively rare.
It is worth adding that officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec are conducting, among other things, proceedings concerning the theft of a food processor worth PLN 999. The incident occurred on 7 December 2017 in one of Bolesławiec’s supermarkets.
