Officers from the Traffic Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec conducted the “Truck & Bus” preventive operation on roads throughout the district. During the operation, police officers thoroughly checked:
- documentation authorizing the transport of passengers
- the driver’s documentation
- the manner in which passengers and cargo were transported
- the drivers’ sobriety
- drivers’ compliance with working-time regulations.
They also paid attention to the technical condition of the vehicles, particularly:
- the steering system
- the braking system
- the condition of the tyres
- the vehicle’s lighting
- the condition and additional equipment of the vehicles.
During the operation, officers from Bolesławiec inspected 82 vehicles, seized 17 registration certificates (due to poor technical condition), and detected 18 traffic violations.
