On Sunday, 25 February, police officers across the country conducted nationwide enforcement and prevention activities called “Cascading Speed Measurement”. The aim of the operation was to enforce compliance with speed limits among drivers. Cascading speed measurement involved checks being carried out on the same road and at the same time, but at different locations.
On that Sunday, officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police checked 66 vehicles. Thirty-three drivers who were travelling at an illegal speed were fined. Moreover, officers confiscated the driving licence of one driver who exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area.
