Police officers from Karpacz identified and arrested a 20-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County suspected of property damage. On February 4 this year, the man damaged a snow cannon at one of the slopes in Karpacz. (He caused an oil leak, which led to the device seizing up.) The injured party estimated the losses at PLN 10,000.
The suspect admitted his guilt. He said he had done it out of stupidity and while drunk. The candid vandal could now face up to five years in prison.
