The Multicultural Center in Warsaw launched a social campaign on February 17 promoting openness and solidarity toward refugees, as well as the city’s efforts to integrate foreign children in Warsaw’s institutions. Posters were put up in the Warsaw Metro showing various people declaring that they are not afraid to be refugees’ neighbors, become friends with refugees, or stand up for refugees. One of the posters features Halina Jędrzejewska, a Warsaw Uprising insurgent, who says that “Warsaw residents are not afraid to help refugees.”
