Stay alert and be cautious!

Most people have good intentions and want to help others. They offer material and financial assistance, transport, accommodation or work. It may happen that someone wants to take advantage of your difficult life situation.

THEREFORE, REMEMBER:

  • if you do not have transport or a final destination, go to the nearest reception centre;
  • if you use transport offered by random strangers, always stay in a group, write down and photograph the registration number of the vehicle you are travelling in and, if possible, send it to your family or friends;
  • do not give your documents to strangers or hand over your phone;
  • when using employment offers, be careful and vigilant;
  • stay in constant contact with your family or friends, and inform them of your exact address and every change to it.

If you are looking for a person who crossed the Polish border and is missing, contact the Missing Persons Search Centre of the Police Headquarters – +48 47 72 123 07 or by e-mail: cpozkgp@policja.gov.pl

If you suspect human trafficking or other crimes, you can report it by calling: +48 47 72 565 02 or by e-mail: handelludzmibsk@policja.gov.pl

If you feel threatened, call the European emergency number – 112 (free of charge).
