The free shop is located at 11 Parkowa Street, in the building of the II Środowiskowy Dom Samopomocy (entrance from the front). It is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The idea behind “Przyjazna Dłoń” is simple. Donations have been collected there: sorted and clean clothes, shoes, cleaning products, school supplies, diapers, baby cereal, baby milk and many other items; everything can be taken free of charge. These are items for people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
“Everyone is making this place,” says Kinga Gęsicka-Biały. “The premises belong to the city. Women from Stowarzyszenia in Gremio work here, as do people from Strajku Kobiet, Artur and Darek, and volunteers from Stowarzyszenia Polska 2050 come here. There are also Ukrainian women helping out. There are two other points in the county with which we cooperate. These are the Straż Pożarna w Trzebieniu and the Assistance Point at the Domu Kultury w Tomaszowie Bolesławieckim, run by Marzena Kurlej. There is more space there, so we direct people there when they have bulky donations,” says Kinga.
Refugees from Ukraine can be directed to the “Pomocna Dłoń” point.
ATTENTION! Items are NOT accepted at the “Pomocna Dłoń” point.
The collection of needed items is being conducted at the point at 11a Staszica Street in Bolesławiec, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
