On February 9–11, the Lower Silesian Boxing Championships took place in Przeworno (Strzelin County). A total of 106 boxers took part in the competition, with 60 bouts held altogether.

Bolesławiec was represented by two TOP boxers: Piotr Motyka (60 kg, 16 bouts) and Jakub Kaleta (97 kg, 8 bouts). In the final, Piotr faced Dawid Kondracki of Polonia Świdnica. After a very good and spectacular bout, the Bolesławiec boxer won by stoppage in the second round, claiming the title of Lower Silesian senior champion.

In the final, Jakub Kaleta faced a strong and more experienced boxer from Imperium Wałbrzych. The result? He became the provincial runner-up in the junior category.

Representatives of TOP Bolesławiec:

The titles won are the result of a full year of hard work during training sessions and sparring, which the athletes completed with their coaches Ryszardem and Tomaszem Tomczykiem. There is much to celebrate, because Piotrek Motyka’s victory gives him a chance to compete in Lower Silesian team tournaments and in the Polish Championships, which will be held in Karlin.
