A new para-boxing section is starting in Bolesławiec, where sporting limitations do not exist. The ambassador of the initiative is Sonia Turzyniecka – one of Poland’s most decorated athletes in arm wrestling for people with disabilities.
The classes are aimed at people with various types of disabilities, and the programme has been developed so that every participant can train according to their abilities. As the organisers emphasise, what matters above all is character, determination and the willingness to act.
– I invite all people with physical disabilities to join this discipline. An excellent coach and atmosphere, as well as good training conditions. The classes are free – says Sonia Turzyniecka.
An ambassador with a medal-winning record
Sonia Turzyniecka has taken on the role of ambassador for the section – she is the recipient of an award from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism for outstanding sporting achievements on the international stage. The athlete can boast multiple Polish championship titles, medals at the European and World Championships, and a World Cup victory in arm wrestling for people with disabilities. For years, her example has shown that sport knows no barriers.
Training in a friendly atmosphere
The para-boxing classes take place in an atmosphere of mutual support and are conducted professionally. Each training session is adapted individually, allowing participants to gradually improve their physical fitness and gain confidence in the ring.
People interested in taking part in the classes can contact the organisers, KSW Gladiator, directly. Participation in the training sessions is free. Detailed information about the schedule and the location of the classes is available from the section’s instructors.
