The crime took place on the night of February 2–3, 2018, in Lubań, in the victim’s apartment. The perpetrator turned out to be her former partner – 33-year-old Artur K. The man first restrained his victim, then raped and strangled her. He subsequently left the apartment.

The victim’s mother found the body. Concerned that she had been unable to contact her daughter, she went to her apartment.

Artur K. was detained. On February 5, he was brought before the Lubań prosecutor’s office, where he was charged with murder in connection with rape. The suspect confessed and gave a statement.

On Wednesday, February 7, the District Court in Lubań, at the prosecutor’s request, remanded K. in temporary custody for three months.

The investigation included, among other things, a crime-scene experiment—a site inspection with the suspect’s participation—as well as the questioning of numerous witnesses. An autopsy was also conducted.

The 33-year-old, who had previously been convicted, although for a different type of offense, could face life imprisonment. Below is a video by Stefańczyk Studio:
