It is not known whether the shelter was damaged by a gusty wind or whether someone damaged it, intentionally or accidentally. Perhaps someone hit its structure with a car. The marks clearly visible in the photographs could indicate this. The area between Gdańska Street and the Bóbr River, where a shelter stood until recently, was used by the residents of Bolesławiec for barbecuing and relaxation.
