The incident occurred in one of the apartment blocks in Legnica. In the evening, neighbors heard screams coming from the apartment of an elderly woman who lived alone. The woman was calling for help. The neighbors notified the relevant services.
A short while later, Legnica police officers arrived at the scene. The senior woman’s apartment was locked, and she was unable to open the door. Realizing that immediate assistance was needed, the officers forced the door open and entered.
It turned out that the 93-year-old resident of Legnica had fallen in the room in such an unfortunate way that she had probably fractured her femur and, as a result, could not move. The officers called an ambulance, which took the elderly woman to hospital.
