Jelenia Góra criminal investigators spotted a cyclist on Wojewódzka Street who began behaving nervously when he saw the uniformed officers. The officers stopped him for a check. The 29-year-old had no documents with him. He provided his details verbally.
It turned out that the man had hidden a ziplock bag containing amphetamine in his jacket. What is more, in order to avoid criminal liability, he used the details of his brother, who is currently abroad.
It came to light that the 29-year-old was wanted, as he had to serve a two-year prison sentence for burglaries. The man from Jelenia Góra was taken to police custody. He will soon be placed in pre-trial detention. He now faces an additional sentence of up to three years in prison.
