On January 17, a 20-year-old resident of średzki county suspected of theft was taken into police custody. The man, who stole toys worth approximately PLN 600 from a store in Jelenia Góra, was apprehended by security staff and handed over to the police.
Criminal investigators from the Municipal Police Headquarters established that the 20-year-old had another theft to his account. Two days earlier, he had also stolen toys from the same store, this time worth a similar amount.
The officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case, including what the man did with the stolen goods. The 20-year-old could face up to five years in prison.
