The issue of the parking lot at the County Office on Armii Krajowej Street in Bolesławiec returned during Wednesday’s press conference attended by County Head Karol Stasik, Deputy County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak, Management Board member Stanisław Chwojnicki, and County Secretary Radosław Palczewski. “The parking lot is used not only by our clients and officials, but also by employees of other institutions,” K. Stasik said. “Which ones? Perhaps I won’t name them here.”

Moreover, as the County Head mentioned, people who have simply come to take care of some matter in the town often leave their cars here. As a result, there are sometimes no spaces in the County Office parking lot for those who have business at that particular office.

The county plans to expand the parking lot in question by approximately 15 spaces. It also plans to install barriers and introduce fees. “It’s inevitable, because at present our officials complain that they have nowhere to park,” the County Head continued.

Naturally, parking will be free for County Office clients for a certain period—for now, it is not known how long; perhaps half an hour or an hour.

When will these changes be introduced? “Everything will depend on our financial capabilities,” K. Stasik stressed. “Because the hospital is the priority now.”
