Police detained a 67-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County who is suspected of creating a real risk of a fire breaking out in a multi-family building. The incident occurred on January 10 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Firefighters notified police officers that smoke was coming from one of the flats in a multi-family building located in Jelenia Góra County.
At the scene, it turned out that the intoxicated 67-year-old woman had set fire to the furnishings in her flat. Firefighters extinguished the fire and ventilated the building in time.
At the time the fire broke out, six residents were in the building. Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries.
The woman was taken into police custody. She could face up to eight years in prison.
